Went to a great concert ( South Africa national youth orchestras ) tonight in Johannesburg with Holger and two good lads from Chile and Holland who are both conducters. Lovely food and free bar...
On the way back to Pretoria around 11 pm we witnessed a lady who were alone in her car getting robbed. Everything happened in a splitsecond so we didnt realise what was going until we saw this guy running off with her handbag. He had smashed the window of her car when she stopped for the traffic light and nicked her bag.. What a c...! And cant believe how quick that went right in front of us. Holger said:"They are world champions in stealing in South Africa ".
Just an example of why most of the locals here say that in certain places and areas you are better off not stopping for red and yellow lights.. and in general you shouldnt be driving at nighttime in South Africa unless you know your way around and what you are doing...
