Too much to tell. Will try and make it short. Im at the fantastic hotel Coach House now after a 3 day hunt in Limpopo. Went there with two guests and we were staying on the bank of the Limpopo river in a tented camp where crocs and hippos often are seen. The river is also the border to Botswana, so I was sleeping about 150 meters from another country, but didnt fancy crossing the river thinking of the inhabitants there... Was a great camp and you got a fantastic deep and long sleep after all the fresh air. Only woke up by the sounds of some night-animals. Especially a noisy jackal woke me up a few times. Went out hunting at sunrise, then back for lunch and off for an afternoon hunt. At sunset we drove back to the camp. I was driving the whole time dropping the hunters off and picking them up. We kept contact over radios so it was a bit of a challenge sometimes finding my way around in the bush. Our guest from Denmark shot 2 Warthogs, one beautifull Oryx which is the one on the photo with the long horns and an Impala. Saw so much wildlife when driving around too. Waiting for a long time sometimes at the car but just took in the sun with my book and with the radio close to me. Besides driving I helped preparing breakfeast, lunch and dinner for our guests. At nighttime we sat around a fireplace having a few drinks and a good banter.. Fantastic time!!
Today I drove our two guests up in the Drakensberg Mountains which was a 5 hr drive from Limopopo. We will be staying at Coach House for the next two days ( see http://www.coachhouse.co.za/) The place is amazing! Ive never stayed in such luxury before and feeling a bit embaressed after having passed so many extremely poor villages and areas... Think my room is about 80 m2 and Ive got a panoramic view from the balcony down in the valley. Tomorrow Im driving the two guests around the area to some waterfalls etc...
